Job Detail: Automotive Technician

Car Dealership in the Little Rock area has an immediate need for an Automotive Technician. This individual will maintain, inspect and repair vehicles within the service bay. Provide accurate information to the Service Advisor and Managers concerning vehicles

• Perform vehicle repair, multi point inspection ad or/maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testing.
• Communicate with parts department and service advisors regularly to effectively manage production and customer communications.
• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by the customer.
• Make appropriate recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of customer vehicles.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order
• Maintain an inventory of normal technician's tools not normally inventoried in the service department as special tools.
• Keep aware of factory technical bulletins and [participate in factory sponsored training.
• Road test vehicles to ensure quality work as needed
• Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of work.
• Attending technician training courses
• Train and mentor others as needed
• May be asked to speak with or ride with customers, if authorized by a supervisor
• Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.
• Expected to arrive at work on time and work required shifts.

Qualifications

• 2 + years experience as an automotive technician
• Additional certifications may be required such as ASE Certification etc.
• A-level qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical and engine repair
• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
• Hardworking presence in a team environment
• Basic computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude, good customer service skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
